Situated in Millersburg, Ohio, Pioneer Trails has been catering to travel customers for four decades. Established in 1984 the family-owned and -operated business is now managed by the second generation. We uphold the same vision and commitment as our founders, ensuring the ongoing legacy of excellence in our family business.

Small Beginnings

Nestled in the heart of Amish Country, Pioneer Trails had its humble beginnings in Holmes County, Ohio, with a lone motorcoach in 1984. Originally, this solitary bus facilitated runs between Ohio and Sarasota, Florida, under the visionary leadership of our founders. Little did they anticipate the profound impact it would have on the community and the remarkable growth the business would undergo.
As the demand for travel increased, particularly with individuals migrating south to escape the cold winter months, our fleet expanded to accommodate the growing needs. With an increasing number of motorcoaches, Pioneer Trails continued to evolve, responding dynamically to the changing patterns of travel in Holmes County.

New Ventures

Embarking on a new venture we acquired an established travel company, Green Country Tours. Unaware of the extent of the impact, this propelled the company to new heights. Green Country Tours underwent significant expansion, orchestrating Group Tours traveling throughout the continental U.S. and Canada. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our past and present tour operators, Green Country Tours has evolved into what it is recognized for today – a fantastic avenue for enjoying group travel.
When a local business approached us to plan out and organize their trip our Custom Tour Division, Lighthouse Tours, was born. Nearly two decades later, Lighthouse Tours has flourished, whether it's a day trip or a week-long vacation, entrust our Custom Tour Operator with the details. We manage the logistics, so you can concentrate on the most important aspect—enjoying a hassle-free group adventure.
Over the years, we added several more Tour Companies to our portfolio, including Swiss Valley Tours and Eagle Rock Tours. Just as in the past, our adept Tour Operators successfully expanded and nurtured these companies, providing exceptional travel options for all.

We remain dedicated to preserving the vision and commitment our parents began in order to ensure a legacy of excellence. With a fleet of over 30 motorcoaches spanning two locations—our original site in Millersburg, OH, and our second location in Parkersburg, WV—we offer unparalleled service.
